Tomorrow is A New Day Therefore Don’t Give Up!
Persistence is an absolute necessity for the person who wants to succeed. I once read, “That by persistence, the snail reached the Ark.” History is filled with examples of people who were told they could never achieve their dreams but who achieved them anyway.
Billy Graham was informed by one of his Bible School professors that he would never make a preacher. Billy just kept on preaching. I’m sure that Bill Gates was probably told somewhere along the way that his idea called a computer would never work, but he just kept on dreaming and persisting.
So dear discouraged friend, just keep on working toward your dream. The fact that it is a dream means you have already seen it. You see it in your mind before you see it in your world. It’s just a matter of time till you see it in real time, if you just keep walking toward it. The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, then the second, then the third and so forth. If you stop. It’s over. If you keep going, no matter how tough, you will make it.
As a preacher myself who posts free sermons online, I see a lot of good advice from others who preach. I heard a preacher once deliver a great sermon. At the core of what he shared was this, “You can’t fail, if you don’t quit.” I encourage you not to quit. You may have the towel in your hand ready to toss it. Stop! Don’t do it. Take a shower, use the towel to dry off. Get a good night’s rest. Tomorrow is another day.
Each day is a new opportunity. At the dawn of each new morning, yesterday lies in the past. It is behind you. What is vital is what is before you. You have the power to determine what is before you to a large degree. Your future is shaped by the choices you make today.
Persistence means you are making the right decisions over and over again. When you miss it, admit it. Make it right. Learn to say, “I’m sorry!” Learn to learn from your stumbles, blow ups and mistakes. I share a lot of truths I have learned through my free online bible study offered on sermon seedbed. You have your own list of lessons learned, just be sure to remember those lessons. They can help add to your persistence.
If today is not going well, make the decision to ride it out. It’s like jumping from a plane, once you have made the jump, you have to go with it till you land. Some days are like that. Do the best you can till you get your feet back under you. Once you survive today, then you can plan for a better tomorrow. Hope is so powerful. Hope is the gasoline that gives you the power to run the motor of persistence all the way to your dream.
Dear friend, “Do not”, let me say it again, “Do not give up!” You can succeed. You can fulfill your envisioned future. Before you do it, you have to first decide to do it. Once you decide to do it, you keep doing it until your faith becomes sight.
Make sure you also read about emotional freedom technique – it is helping many people to find their own path to spirituality.
