John 1:1-5 – 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

This awesome scripture in John is talking about Jesus Christ. He is the word, which was with God and the word was God himself. The word is the life which is the light of the world.

John 8:12 - ”I am the light of the world.”

Through him all things were made and without him nothing was made that has been made, this is evident from the verses on creation in Genesis 1.

Genesis 1:2-3 – 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

The word of God has creative power to create everything in the universe. His words cannot change and will stand forever. God is God because he has exalted his name and his word above all things. His words are truth and life and  are above heaven and earth. These are backed up by these verses -

Psalm 138:2 – for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33 – Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Isaiah 55:11 – 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. &

Isaiah 40:8 – The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.

Now when we examine John 1:2 again, we can see that the verse says “He was with God in the beginning.” And in the old testement we can see that God sent his word to the old testement people in time of need. The we saw earlier, the Word indeed is Jesus himself. Then what happened to the word? Why is it said that he was with God, in the beginning?  To understand this verse, we need to move further and read the scripture in

John 1:14  - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

From this verses we can find that God who is the word, who was with God in the beginning and who was God himself, became flesh and has made His dwelling among us. And He is our saviour Jesus Christ.

Thus Word was God – Word became flesh – Made his dweling among us. How does God make his dwelling in us? To find it out, go to the scripture in 1 John 4:15 – If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. The scripture further tells in John 3:36 – Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. By beleiving and acknowledging that Jesus Christ is the son of God, not only do you have eternal life but God himself lives in him and he in God.

So how do you acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and how do you get the salvation? When we search the scripture we find the answer in Revelation 12:10-11 – 10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;

Note the underlined words, that’s how you overcome satan who accuses of our sins. Eventhough we are sinners, we have salvation through Jesus Christ who shed his innocent blood for our sins. The way you apply that salvation blood to your life is through the Word of your testimony. Believe in you heart and testify with your mouth that Jesus is God and he shed his innocent sinless blood and died on the cross for all of our sins.

Jesus died so that we may live. Thus God demonstrates his love for us by sending his own son to die for our sins so that we may have life Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Nobody can be saved by his own efforts. Never. However he try, he can’t be perfect. Sin entered in to human life through the very first humans Adam and Eve. Thus man is born of sin. So however perfect we try ourselves to be, we can’t be perfect up to Gods standards and no man can be sinless in his life, except Jesus Christ (who is God manifested in human form). And there is no other way by which you can be saved excpet through Jesus.

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

So if you really want to get saved and spend eternity with God, you need to repent for your sins and accept Jesus as you Lord and Savior. Once you do that, you will be born again. You may not feel anything different but your spirit will be changed and God lives on the inside of you and every born again believer. And then on, you have a friend, a companion in all your needs. No longer will you feel that you are alone. Or there is nobody to help you. He will be with you ineverything you do. It’s an exciting life full of victories, because now you are not living on your own. The creator of the universe is with you in every walk of your life, to guide you and to take you to victory and in the end unite you with him.

Are you someone who haven’t accepted Jesus as your saviour? If so, how would you like to be get saved now? You don’t need to change you name or go to church or read the entire bible to get saved. The only thing that’s require is to sincerely repent of your sins and accept him in to your lives. If you are ready to enter this awesome life, then just say this prayer out loud.

LORD JESUS, I AM A SINNER. I REPENT OF ALL THE SINS I HAVE EVER DONE. I BELIEVE YOU SHED YOUR INNOCENT BLOOD AND DIED ON THE CROSS FOR MY SINS. FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR EVERYTHING I HAVE SAID AND DONE. CLEANSE ME WITH YOUR BLOOD. JESUS, PLEASE COME IN TO MY LIFE AND SAVE ME. I MAKE YOU MY LORD AND SAVIOR. THANK YOU JESUS.

If you sincerely prayed that prayer from your heart. You have been saved and you are born again. Welcome to an exciting new life. But don’t stop there, you need advance in your relationship with God through his Word. The Word of God is freely available to you through the book of life – The Bible, Which is the word of God. Reading the bible is a must to  have a personnel relationship with Jesus. Jesus will talk to you personally through his words in the Bible. If you think you are advancing as a Christian but don’t read the Bible, then you are in the wrong track. Because…

Bible is The Word -> The Word Is God -> Jesus Christ <- In Him There Is Life <- Life Is The Light

The Light Will Save You From Darkness

John 8:12 – I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

Jesus Christ Is The Way And The Truth

So hold on to the the words of God in the Bible and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

John 8:31-32 – If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
